Find Me

Vein of Salt is an immersion into the liminal, a journey through landscapes rendered both intimate and immense by the transformative gaze of infrared light. Here, the boundaries between the organic and the geological, the microscopic and the colossal, begin to dissolve. What emerges is a world that feels undeniably alive, a hidden cartography of vibrant, unexpected hues and textures pulsing just beneath the surface of our perception.

These topographies reveal a deeper order, one characterized by repetition, recursion, and hidden structures. Fractal-like forms echo the geometries that shape the universe—and ourselves.

This resonance between the external landscape and our internal architecture reveals a fundamental, unifying design. Suspended between the known and the newly perceived, the viewer is invited to wonder where the self is anchored, prompting a search for our own coordinates within this spectral whole.

Shot over the course of a year with only infrared cameras, resulting photographs and a short film came together for an exhibition at Chefas Projects in Portland from June 13 – July 12, 2025.

Vein of Salt opened at Chefas Projects art gallery in Portland, Oregon on Friday, June 13th 2025. It was on display through July 12th 2025.
